Maribeth Richardson 1st Grade

Holy Family School is like my second home.  I started teaching here in 1976.  I was a student at Lewis-Clark State College, finishing a degree in elementary education, and doing volunteer work at Holy Family when I was hired.  I have always felt teaching at Holy Family School was like my mission.  I could teach about God and practice my Catholic faith on a daily basis, along with teaching basic educational skills and still have time to be a mom.  The parents and staff at Holy Family have always amazed me with their generous support and strong commitment to Catholic education.

My husband Doug and I have lived in Lewiston, Idaho since I have been teaching at Holy Family.  We have three children.  They attended schools in Lewiston.  Currently our youngest daughter is at Lewiston High School.  Our son is a U of I graduate and currently works in Boise.

I have been teaching in first grade since 1983 and love it.  I love being the one to be able to teach children how to read.  It is such a reward to see their faces and hear the words "look teacher I can read this all by myself"!
