This is our first Friday letter of the year!  We had a wonderful first week and I look forward to many more.  Thank you for entrusting your children with me; they are awesome.  Each week I ask that you take the time with your child to read the Friday letter, which I hope will inform you of upcoming events, assignments, quizzes, tests and more.  I suggest keeping it in a visible place such as the refrigerator so it is a constant reminder. 

It does need to be SIGNED and RETURNED on the Monday of the week for your child to earn classroom money.  Help them build responsibility by setting up a time on the weekend to do this each week.

Here’s a quick look at next week:

Monday: Guest Speaker – John Morbeck on “Bullying” 8:30-9:30 in the parish center

In language arts we will start practicing our reading strategies (there are six; do you

remember them?? J)

            Math-we will begin Data about Us – students will learn about stem and leaf plots

            SS—Cowboy picture due today

Tuesday: We will start our personal safety unit for religion: Do you know what exploitation is?

            PE with 4-5-6 – Speed Away

Wednesday:  Mass by 5^th at 9 am (please wear your dress attire)

Computer Lab

Personal Safety: Peer Pressure

Math – Let’s Jump Rope! More use of stem plots

Thursday:  PE – Speed Away

Friday:  Field Trip to Spokane to see our new Bishop installed. (please wear dress attire!) 

I think it will be a fun and spiritual enriching trip! J  What an awesome event to witness.
