Happy Summer!

We are thinking about all of you and getting ready for another school year.

I just wanted to touch base with you to remind and let you know about some of the changes that will be taking place for this school year.  I understand change can be hard but I hope that with your understanding and patience that all these changes will benefit the children in a safe learning environment.  This is just a quick over view of the changes. You will be getting more detailed information at the open house.  We are in the office most Tuesday and Thursdays from 9 to 1 if you have any questions and you can always email us hfschool@cableone.net or call the school and leave a message.

• We will be using the back parking lot off of 10^th street as our main enter/exit when dropping off and picking up students.  Children will then use the west side door to enter/exit the school.
• The first bell rings at 8:00 0’clock for kids to line up outside.
• Second bell rings at 8:05; teachers will escort children into the gym.
• We will gather as an all school to say Morning Prayer & flag each day in the gym.  Parents are welcome to stay for this.
• Afternoon Pre-School will begin at noon and dismiss at 2:45.
• Morning Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:30.
• We are offering an all day Kindergarten program for those who would like it.
• If you choose all day Kindergarten your child would go the same hours 8 to 2:40.
• The front gates to the school will remain locked at all times.

Here is a list of up coming events for you to mark your calendar:

August 7 & 8 there will be a yard sale at the school. If you have items to donate you can stop by the gym and leave the items up on the stage.  If you can help with the yard sale you can call Deanna & Doug Knapp, or the school.

August 19^th is going to be a work night at the school beginning at 5 pm.  We hope that you can come to help spruce up the school with one big cleaning before the big day. 

Fr. Tom hopes to have the youth group sponsor a movie for the kids. 

Check the church bulletin for up dates.

August 24^th is an open house at the school from 9 to 1. This is a chance for your child to bring their school supplies to school and meet their teacher and find their desk.  There will also be information booths about the different groups at school. 

August 25^th is the first day of school!
